This instrument is in top play condition. Tuning pegs could be a drawback but very functional. Some minor artificial aging done by the maker.  All the purfling was hand done…not painted on.  This was not a production instrument.

This violin was made in a factory vs a “cottage industry” violin that was so common in other European countries. The pegs were customized to Caspari but could be switched to conventional pegs at a cost of about $250 to $300. A Master Luthier of Fairview Park Ohio has appraised this instrument at $2500 to $3000. 4 bows included.
